The Hagan Scholarship Foundation is taking applications now -These are intended for high achieving and self motivated students from rural areas who will require financial assistance in order to attend college. Each scholarship is worth up to $40,000 over four years. For more information check in the guidance office or go online at www.hsfmo.org. Deadline date: By November 15, 2015.

Seniors planning to attend SCC Day at Shawnee College on Tuesday, October 13 should go to the Union Hall Lobby at 8:00 PM to pick up a folder and board the busses outside of the Union Hall Lobby.

Southern Illinois University-Carbondale will host an open house on Friday, October 9th.
The representative from Lincoln Tech(formally Nashville Auto/Diesel College) will be in Mr. Emmons room on today (Thursday), October 8th during 1st hour.
Please get your powder puff T-Shirt money to Ms. Bottje by the end of the day today. Powder Puff practice is Monday at 2:00 PM.
There will be a blood drive on October 21, 2015 in the AJCHS lower gym from 9 AM-3 PM. If you are interested in donating blood you are to sign up during your lunch period starting Wednesday. You can donate at the age of 16 with the consent of a parent/guardian. You may see Ms. Maze with any questions during homeroom.
The Anna-Jonesboro Rotary Club is offering scholarship(s) to eligible high school seniors graduating in May, 2016 from a Union County high school and enrolling in a continuing education program of two or more years by the fall of 2016. The primary criteria for selection are the student's demonstrated commitment to community service during his/her high school, and the student's acceptance into a continuing education program of the student's choice. Applications are available in the guidance office. Deadline date to the Guidance Office is March 22, 2016.
The 54th Annual United States Senate Youth Program sponsored by the William Hearst Foundation is open to a junior or senior high school student currently serving in an elected or selected capacity in student government or a related organization and plans to take government courses in college. The first phase of the program brings two students from each from each state to Washington D.C. from March 5-12, 2016 of $5,000 to selected students. For more information, check in the guidance office for more information. Deadline date is 4 PM this Wednesday, October 7th.
Harlem Wizards - Tickets are now available at AJ Motors both locations, AJ National Bank Main Branch, Mr. Sanders Room and FBLA Members.
FBLA members will be selling Harlem Wizard Tickets at lunch for the next few weeks. They are also selling raffle tickets to play in game for $1.00. Only Juniors and Seniors can play. The game is October 20th, 2015.
Any Junior or Senior girls that is interested in playing in the 1st ever powder puff football game in November needs to sign up on Ms. Bottje's door sometime this week.
Anyone that would like to order a powder puff T-shirt can sign up outside Ms. Bottje's door. T-shirts are $12 and money is due by next Friday.
