|Ongoing||University of St. Francis||Scholarships combine whatever your students may receive in Illinois and federal need-based financial aid with new, larger, USF academic scholarships. University of St. Francis Academic Scholarships are guaranteed for all four years for full-time students at USF. Students are required to maintain a 2.0 GPA (earning Cs or better). |April 10, 2020||Anna Moose Lodge #1346 Scholarship||Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded; awards will be based on scholarship criteria. Applications are available in the guidance office.|
|April 14, 2020||Laura Selock Trust Scholarship||Must rank in the top 20 percent of graduating class after seven semesters; recipient chosen on a combination of factors including academic achievement, positive leadership, outstanding character, school attendance, ACT and SAT scores, extracurricular involvement and financial need. No one factor will be controlling.|
|April 15,2020||Anna-Jonesboro CHS Education Association Scholarship||Application information includes ACT score, academic awards received, and a brief essay. Applications are available in the guidance office.|
|April 15, 2020||Horatio Alger National Career & Technical Scholarship Program||Available to students interested in enrolling in Career and Technical Education programs for the fall of 2020. Students may apply online at application.horatioalger.org. |April 15, 2020||Anna-Jo Garden Club Scholarship||Open to Union County, IL students entering their freshman through senior year of college, or taking a higher degree in any accredited college or university of his or her choice (scholarship amount: $500). An autobiography of 500 words or less required outlining goals of study. Applications are available in the guidance office.|
|April 17,2020||Jill Pearce Bell Memorial Scholarship||Available to seniors who meet the following requirements: Anna-Jonesboro Community High School female student, 2-year athlete (4 years preferred), 2 year Spanish student (4 preferred), 3.5 minimum cumulative G.P.A. and involvement in school clubs and activities. The amount of the scholarship is $750. Applications are available in the guidance office.|
|April 17,2020||Anna-Jonesboro Rotary Scholarship 2020 Maginel-Russell Scholarship||A $1,000 scholarship is available to eligible high school seniors; Shawnee Community College will match this scholarship should the student enroll and attend Shawnee Community College. If the student plans to attend elsewhere, it would be valued at $1,000. The primary criteria for selection are the student’s demonstrated commitment to community service during his/her high school career, and the student’s acceptance into a continuing education program of two or more years or to Shawnee Community College in the fall of 2020. |April 24,2020||Shawnee Development Council, Inc. Scholarship Program||Income eligibility; must attend an accredited college, trade school, or university in the State of Illinois; must be a full-time student, etc. Applications are available in the guidance office.|
|May 1, 2020||Tamara G. Miller Memorial Nursing Scholarship Program||Applicant must be an AJ senior pursuing a career in nursing and rank in the top 30% of class, etc. Applications are available in the guidance office.|
|May 13,2020||Sigma Phi Epsilon Balanced Man Scholarship||University of Illinois – Three Balanced Man Scholarships are being offered to incoming male students who have excelled in the areas of scholarship, leadership, athletics and community service during their high school careers. The recipient must be a full-time student at the University of Illinois in the fall of 2020. The application can be found at www.illinoissigep.org/bms/|
|May 15, 2020||Insuring Rural Communities Scholarship||A renewable scholarship awarded to residents of eligible rural communities in Missouri and Illinois. It is a need-based award of up to $5,000 per academic year and is renewable through graduation or a maximum of 10 semesters provided the student continues to meet eligibility and selection criteria. |May 31, 2020||Lavern and Nola McEntire Lineworker’s Scholarship||Awarded to a student to attend the lineworker’s school conducted by the Association of Illinois Electric Cooperatives in conjunction with Lincoln Land Community College, Springfield, IL.|

|June 1, 2020||Benner/Green “Learning for Success” Scholarship Fund|| This two-year scholarship ($10,000 per year) has been established for the benefit of one student/graduate of Smith-Cotton High School in Sedalia, MO or Anna-Jonesboro Community High School (to attend Ranken Technical College in St. Louis, MO) Application procedures include: Submit transcript, two letters of recommendation, essay, financial need, cumulative high school GPA of 2.5 or higher, etc. Applications are available in the guidance office. |
